A 3D camera is an imaging device that enables the perception of depth in images to replicate three dimensions as experienced through human binocular vision. Some 3D cameras use two or more lenses to record multiple points of view, while others use a single lens that shifts its position. There are some popular brands, such as Intel “D” series, Orbbec Astra, Orbbec stereo s u3, and Kinect (Production halted). Vercon has rich project experience in choosing and integrating the suitable 3D camera into the mirror as we have compared some of them.
Which 3D camera shall we choose? We need to combine both customers’ requirements and our hardware conditions. For example, we need to confirm which angle is available for this 3D camera so that it can fully track people’s body movements. And, we need to know which area will be the exact area for the 3D camera in our workout mirror. Sometimes, a collaboration between the clients’ software team and Vercon software team is very necessary.
Can I use the Body Fat Scale separately?
No. The Body Fat Scale is connected to the mirror through a dedicated app. When you stand on the Body Fat Scale, you can see all of your BMI, weight, and water content in the mirror.
